Enda McGuane, MD of Winters Property will be a speaker at this year’s National Housing Summit, taking place in the Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan, Co. Dublin on 26th June 2019.
The conference will assess the challenges and opportunities in housing, planning high rise and design, with a focus on identifying opportunities in the sector and delivering a vision for the property industry that’s sustainable and realistic.
What does the conference aim to achieve?
It has been outlined that key questions to be answered by the event will include subjects such as the purpose of the Land Development Agency, financial availability in the market over the next five years and future business opportunities for those who can help deliver housing needs to 2030.
Enda will be speaking about shifting a focus toward solutions when it comes to the current state of housing.
“There is no one “big bang” solution to our current housing shortage, and the ongoing ideologically driven debate is taking the focus from potential solutions,” Enda said. “My presentation will seek to use research data to highlight shifting housing needs among the Irish population and to discuss some of the potential solutions such as build to rent, cost rental, high rise construction, collective living and purpose built student accommodation.
We must build the accommodation we need for the future not the accommodation we needed in the past!”
